Notes for Editors
Last year, we awarded a total of £1,750 to seven local organisations. This year, we’re aiming to award £2,000 to several grassroots groups that are making a real difference in our community.
The Rotary Club of Llandudno is part of Rotary International, the world’s largest and oldest service organisation, founded in 1905. Rotary brings together 1.4 million members in over 46,000 clubs across more than 200 countries and territories.
Our Llandudno club, established in 1927, also runs a “Friends of Rotary” group—currently 48 members strong. Being a Friend is a great way to stay in touch with what we’re doing, with no cost or obligation. Learn more here: https://tinyurl.com/FriendsOfRotaryWebpage
Across Great Britain and Ireland, 45,000 Rotarians in nearly 2,000 clubs volunteer their time to support local communities and promote peace and understanding worldwide. Members can contribute as much or as little time as they choose—it’s all about making a difference.
