The Rotary Club of Llandudno has announced the seven community groups receiving support from its 2025 Community Chest. It awards small grants of £100 to £500 each year to local organisations.

The Rotary Club of Llandudno has announced the seven community groups receiving support from its 2025 Community Chest. It awards small grants of £100 to £500 each year to local organisations.
This year, 17 groups applied for funding, with successful applicants spanning theatre, dance, health, sport, and family support.
The 2025 winners are:
  • Stagenotes – £200 for costumes and scripts for the youth theatre’s productions.
  • Jayne’s Memorial Fund – £500 to provide heart screening for up to 100 young people in September.
  • Llandudno Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care – £400 to buy a gazebo, table and chairs for fundraising and awareness events.
  • Dancing Collective CIC – £270 towards a harp to support dance sessions for people with Parkinson’s.
  • Llandudno Gateway Club – £200 to support line dancing and social activities for disabled people.
  • Conwy Adoption Support Group – £330 to cover community centre hire for meetings and workshops.
  • Craig-y-Don Community Tennis Club – £100 to refurbish three courtside benches.
Llandudno Rotary President Sarah Lesiter-Burgess said: “We are delighted to support such a wide range of community groups. Each of these organisations plays an important role in local life, and the grants will help them continue their valuable work.”

The Community Chest scheme is designed to be simple and accessible with an application form that doesn’t require hours of paperwork. Eligible groups include clubs and organisations in Llandudno, Llandudno Junction, Penrhyn Bay, Deganwy, and Glan Conwy.
