Rotary Club of Iyaganku-Ibadan Annual Dental Mission

The 2023 Dental program of the Rotary Club of Iyaganku-Ibadan took place in December between Wednesday 20th and Friday 22nd December and was partly funded by Darwen Rotary


The 2022 Dental program of the Rotary Club of Iyaganku-Ibadan took place in December between Tuesday 26/12 and Wednesday 27/12 even though public enlightenment in religious places and community based organization and mobilization of the children spanned through Sunday to Monday before the main program.

It was tagged Child Dental Mission with focus and emphasis being on children between the ages of 6 and 16 years.

The program includes Enlightenment and Mobilisation, Dental Health Education, Dental Examination and Treatment, Counselling and referral to higher centres for subsidized management.

The children all came from the neighborhood and also remote places to the Rotary Youth Centre which was the venue of the program, a building gifted to the community by the Rotary Club of Iyaganku/Ibadan, for youth programs.

The Dental Team consists of Three Dentists, a Dental Hygienist and Two Dental Nurses.

Darwen Rotary contributed to the cost of running these clinics.

more Rick Riley won the trophy and the event raised over £250.00 for our International Committee’s funds which includes donations to Water Aid and emergency boxes.
