Sports Day

Sports day was held on Wednesday  11th Septmber.There wase the usual events Golf and Bowls.

Summer seems to have disappeared and the weather has become much colder.Fortunately, whilst it was overcast, the rain held off until the late afternonn.This allowed the events to take place.

The evening meal was held at the Grimsby Golf club house at the end of which the prizes were dfistributed.

Bowls.

16 people participated. Unfortunately none of the regular players,with one ot too exceptions,did very well!!

Mens. This was won by Robert Edwards and the runner up was Frank Vivian.

Womens.The winner was Margaret Furness.

Golf.

Womens. This was won by Janet Dixon.

Mens.This was won by Derek Andrews.Second was Som Roy with Stuart Faulkner coming third.

Thank you to Stuart Falkner and John Durham for organising the events.

It was also Tony Powell's birthday and so we wished many happy returns.
