A report on the carol service.

The Annual Carol Service was held at the Grimsby Minister and was conducted by the Revd Steve Holt, supported by the Minster choir.

It was the traditional five lessons and Christmas carols service. In addition there were two readings, one by Ian Birrell( Chanticleer) and the other by John Tuke (Twelfth Night) and the choir sang Candlelight Carol by John Rutter.

At the end of the service when were eating mince pies, plum loaf and sausage rolls (all home made) our accompanied by a glass of wine we were entertained by James Gillett.James plays the clarinet and is a pupil at Caistor Grammar School. James had written to the club asking for money for a new clarinet,we gave him a donation and in return asked him to play for us. Our carol service was his chosen night. He was excellent.
