Shelter box

A shelterbox is a plastic box that contains a wide variety of items that are needed following a disaster.They are held in  store ready to be sent to anywhere in the world folowing a disaster eg typhoon,flooding etc.

Foe a number of years the club has sent money to this charity (part of Rotary)to purchase a box.

The box cotains a tent (with integrel ground sheet),tools,filter straws(to enable people to drink water which is filtered by the straw)and items for children.

Recently we paid for two boxes to replace those sent to Typhoon Haiyan and two more for the refugees from Syria. A box cost about
