Rotary Fun Kids Out to Beamish

MORPETH ROTARY KidsOut

One of the Morpeth Rotary speakers in April was Rotarian Norman Sellar of Consett Rotary Club who came to talk about how a Rotary charity started 34 years ago is working locally. The first charity day out for children was when Kingston Rotary and Littlewoods Store arranged for 200 to visit Thorpe Park. This year Consett Rotary is working with Beamish Museum. They sort out a coach, a packed lunch and an ice cream as well as the visit. Consett Club alone will be organising for 962 young people for a specific week in June. They are trying to get many other Rotary clubs to take part as a service to disadvantaged local children.
