Borderland Mountain Bike Challenge

A major event every May in the cycling calender, is run by Borderland Rotary.  The unique course covers 22 miles over the mountain foothills and is based on the hamlet of Rhiwlas, West of Oswestry.

22 miles is the big challenge but there is also the 6 mile Family course.

On the Saturday close to Bonfire night, with the help of Borderland Rotary, a great evening was enjoyed by the community, particularly families.  Unfortinately, this will not be in 2025

Oswestry Christmas Parade

Planning has already started for next year's Christmas Parade.

Saturday 5th December 2026

A major event for the town, which brings in crowds from miles around.  The fun celebration at the start of the Christmas season is on the first Saturday in December.  The responsibility and massive organisation is by Borderland Rotary.
