A talk by Owen Howard Deputy Chief Fire Officer NYCC

Owens talk to the Club covered a "potted" history of the fire service from the very beginnings to the period leading up to WW 2 when the service was nationalised and all equipment used standardized.
He covered his time in the service and the changes made over the years and how the service has evolved up to the present time. He also gave us and indication of where the service is going in the future and how the various services will operate in the coming years.
It was a very informative and interesting talk by Owen. Our thanks for his time spent with us.
