Kids Out July 2024

Another enjoyable day out for pupils and Rotarians

(click or tap on any picture to start slide show.)

As in previous years, students from Co-op Academy Southfield, who have a variety of needs, were treated to a day out at Hesketh Farm in July 2024. There were 42 students, 17 carers and 10 of our members and partners, plus one grandchild.

It was such a pleasure to see pupils and carers from Southfield enjoying time at Hesketh Farm - and we Rotarians enjoy it just as much!

Thank you Brian and Lois for organising everything!

Letter of thanks received from the school:-

Good morning Brian,
Thank you so much for organising and funding such an amazing day for our Year 7 students. The students all loved it and could you please thank all the volunteers who came on the day they were fantastic!
I need to let you know that one of my students was petrified of animals and at the start hid behind me when walking through the farm enclosure - at the end he was talking to the guinea pigs and even touched a cow!!!
It was a brilliant day, even though the tractor ride scared me - the kids loved it Thank you all so much again.
Sally and all the staff and students at Southfield.
Sally Kelly, Senior Teacher, Co-op Academy Southfield.
