Club Handover

The new Rotary year starts on July 1 and we had a lovely sunny day for our handover celebration.

We enjoyed pizza and puddings before Mike handed over the chain of office to incoming president Howard.  On behalf of the club Howard congratuated Mike on a great year as president.

As a club we raised funds for Farleigh Hospice with our Santa Sleigh and Music Quiz.  We also supported events in the Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens ie Festival in the Gardens, Classic Car Show and Little Legs Festival.  We also worked on projects with the Wilderness Foundation at their sites in Great Waltham, Mann Wood and the Memorial Gardens in Braintree.  Our most recent project: PlasticBlitz helped reduce the amount of plastic waste and rubbish in one of our local rivers - The River Brain.

Well done Braintree Rivers!  We're looking forward to another great year.
