International Conflict Seminar

In the Scores Hotel a panel of 4 students with 1st hand experience gave presentations on Boy Soldiers in Africa, Conflict in former USSR Countries, Afghanistan, and Revolution in Syria. Audience discussion groups followed.


 Rotaract members will participate in the discussion groups.

Student speakers with first hand experience  raised awareness of conflicts around the world, in Syria, Afganastan, Africa (boy soldiers) and former USSR countries.

Thrive Africa presentation

more The CEO of Thrive Africa gave a presentation on opportunities for students to volunteer in projects in Ghana. There was also be a prize (bottle of wine) for the best story from the Easter Break

Ebola

more Presentation on Ebola from Sierra Leone MSc graduate Ezekiel Conteh who studied Sustainable Development at St Andrews University 2 years ago. Also update from Rotarian John Black whose son works for the World Health Organisation on Ebola

more PhD student, Chris is presenting to St Andrews Rotary Club at lunchtime. A chance to listen to an expert.

Dunhill Golf Championship 2014

more Spotting a celebrity or famous golfer, the Rotary Club of St Andrews was selling raffle tickets for charity. Steve Redgrave did the prize draw for the set of golf clubs donated by Auchterlonies.
