Destiny Garden School

The speaker this week was Debi Weir a trustee of the Destiny Childrens Charity which was founded in 2009 and opened the Destiny Garden School in Mtongwe which is a poor suburb of Mombasa, Kenya. Back in 2009 the school started with 40 children and has seen many improvements over the years. In 2025 the school now has 10 classes with 500 children aged 3 to 15 years who benefit from free education and a good meal each school day.
In 2024 Debi visited the Destiny Garden School along with 3 adult volunteers and 7 young people associated with the Moray School Bank. Debi spoke passionately about the visit and the school which provides the children with an education which normally would not be available to them.
