Parkinsons Drumming Group

This weeks’ speakers were Jo Holland and Sharon Finlay from Parkinson’s Beats, an exercise drumming group for people living with neurological conditions. Jo and Sharon formed the group back in 2022 after receiving significant funding from Parkinson’s UK and the organisation has gone from strength to strength with numerous Parkinson Support Groups around the country keen to establish their own group. Using ball drums the exercise sessions ‘put a smile’ on the faces of participants as well as being very good for their general well-being.
Members were treated to a demonstration of exercise drumming by Sharon to the music of ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ and ‘I Love to Boogie’ with some Rotarians and guests joining in.
