Comment on speaker:

Last Rotary year, Tom Dickerson set himself a stiff challenge as President of Knutsford Rotary, looking to involve all the other Rotary Clubs in the District that wanted to participate. The challenge was to do a presentation to as many Clubs within the District, as was possible.

If the members felt that it was a good presentation, and they felt that his chosen charity was worth supporting, it was up to them and their Club to decide what they would like to donate. To date the presentation has been very well received and our club will be listening to Tom speak at this meeting.

His main objective is to raise as much money for Bridge2aid – a dental charity – as he can

Bridge2Aid is a charity that provides access to safe emergency dental care in Tanzania. Since 2004 volunteer dentists have trained rural health workers in Tanzania. This sustainable training model, passing skills into local hands is providing long-term lasting change that is saving lives and freeing many from the prospect of misery and pain. 70% of the world’s population have no access to emergency dental treatment.

Newton Rotary agreed to donate £250 to this charity.
