Club visit to Newsprinters Knowsley.

On the evening of TUESDAY 26 MARCH, 23 Rotarians, their partners and friends visited Newsprinters, Knowsley. Following a buffet and a presentation the group were escorted for a visit in the plant to see the print process from start, where large coils of paper are fed into the presses to the end of the line where the final newspaper is bundled and distributed to the wholesalers. Newsprinters produce the The Times, Sun, Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, Daily Mail and Sport plus a number of magazines and local papers.

This was a very interesting visit and our group saw the start of the print run of the Times.

It was hosted by Mark Clayton, Operations Manager and Newton Rotary thank him and his staff for their hospitality and what was a very interesting visit.
