At lunchtime today our guest speakers were from Newton Gardener's Association. Sheila and Kathyrn told members all about the club which is based in Rob Lane Newton and is now in its 101st year. They explained the services they provide to their members which number in excess of 300. They also told us about the annual vegetable and flower show which is held in September at Crownway Community Centre.

Sheila presented the club with a cheque for End Polio Now -the proceeds from the crocus corms they planted last October.

Rotarian Alan Pomfret presented the Association with a cheque in memory of his late father who was a keen gardener.
