The club is organising a open air festival at venues around Port Erin involving local brass bands

PORT ERIN FESTIVAL OF BRASS

Rushen and Western Mann Rotary would like to invite everyone to the inaugural Port Erin Festival of Brass on Saturday 17th July between 1 and 5pm. The event takes place at 3 venues:

• Colas/Bushy’s stage on lower promenade

• Port Erin Railway Station platform

• St. Catherine’s Church gardens.

The six bands performing will rotate around the 3 venues.

The bands are –

• Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band

• Crosby District Silver Band

• Douglas Town Band

• Ramsey Town Band

• Rushen Silver Band

Also adding some variety to the programme,

• The Ellan Vannin Pipes and Drums

The finale will take place at St. Catherine’s Church gardens with all brass bands playing en masse.

Our main sponsor is Santander International and it is also supported by the Domestic Event Fund.

Why not make a day of it and travel to Port Erin on the Steam train or Bus Vannin which will bring you right to the centre of the action (thus avoiding the hassle of finding somewhere to park)!

There will be programmes available on the day and bucket collections at each venue where all monies raised will go to Rotary Foundation Charities.

If the weather gets wet, all the bands will play individually in St. Catherine’s Church.
