Each year we hold a photographic competition for years 9 and 10 at the Watton Academy. This year the subject was 'The Beauty of Architecture' in line with the national Rotary Young Photographer competition.
Each entrant supplies a photograph taken by themselves together with a short paragraph explaining how their entry fulfils the subject title. This year's entries were particularly difficult to judge as the subjects chosen were so varied and the descriptions so carefully thought out.
Judging took place in February and certificates for the winner and runner-up in each year were presented at the Academy.
The year 9 winner was Bethany Jeal with her photo of a bridge and the runner up was Zoe Death, who submitted a photo of Sea Defences. Year 10 winner was Adriana Muravjovaite who submitted a view through a window, and runner up was Jennifer Wright with a picture taken at Appuldurcombe House. All other entrants received participation certificates.
