Aileen has been in Rotary for nearly 10 years and during that time our presence in local schools and youth involvement has become a shining example of how Rotary should be used for the benefit of children and schools in our area.
Aileen became the club’s first lady President and more recently has become the District champion on Rotary’s campaign to End Polio Now, regularly touring District 1010 to deliver that message. In presenting the award President Mark said "If you were ever looking for someone who could be relied upon to 'Give Your Best' it would be this person. There is no truth in the rumour that 'A Birdie Told Me' that she is our very own retired headmistress - Aileen North."
