How to Enter

1. Enter online by the 8th May: Click WALK THE WYE CHALLENGE. - note Eventbrite booking fees apply
OR
2. Enter By Post: Click here: Entry Form. (Fill in the details and post it to Pete Walters, at
the address on the form, to arrive by Thursday 6th May. Please enclose your entry fee
cheque, payable to The Rotary Club of Monmouth.)
Entry Fees
• £6 per walker for the 4 and 12 mile walks
• £15 per walker for the 10 and 16 mile walks

Following Receipt of Entry

Once you have entered, we will send your Walkers Information Pack to you by post before
the day. The pack will contain your:
1. Entry Acknowledgement Letter
2. Unique Walker Number
3. Wrist Band to be worn on the day of the walk
4. Sponsorship Form
5. The time that you should register on the day (each walk has its own start time.
Registration on the day is at Monmouth Show Ground, Redbrook Road, Monmouth
NP25 4LG).

Sponsorship

We are asking each walker to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship from friends, family
and colleagues. Monmouth Rotary is registered with GOFUNDME to enable Walk the Wye
Challenge entrants and supporters to make online donations. Each entrant can create a
GOFUNDME ONLINE sponsorship page. Click on this link or enter Gofundme.com into your
browser if you would like to create a page. Each entrant will also be sent a sponsorship form
to circulate to friends who would like to sponsor them.

Where your money is going


• 75% of the funds raised will be donated to the Velindre Cancer Centre at Cardiff.
• 25% will go to other charities supported by the Rotary Clubs of Monmouth and
Chepstow.

Gift Aid


Please ask your sponsors to agree to Gift Aid - this adds 25% to their donation at no cost to them. If they are higher rate tax payers they can also report the donation on their tax return to get a tax credit
