There is now a breakfast club at The Bay Senior school which is being funded by a number of bodies in the area.
While primary schools are able to run a "Breakfast club" which is funded by the central government, there is no funding for such clubs in the secondary schools. It has been found that there is a need for one at the Bay Secondary school, and with the school not being able to fund it, the Sandown Town Council, Lake Parish Council, Shanklin Town Council and Sandown Rotary Club are all among those contributing to the running of their breakfast club, which has proved very popular.
