Dedication for a Life of Service

The Rotary Foundation has benefitted from a donation in memory of a much-loved colleague

Swanage and Purbeck Rotary has made a donation to The Rotary Foundation in memory of our dear colleague Sue Whitton who sadly passed away earlier this year.

The money was donated by mourners at Sue's funeral and wake, together with some funds from Swanage Rotary's charitable fundraising activities, and will directly benefit Rotary International's PolioPlus Fund, aimed at eradicating polio from the world.

The eradication of polio was one of Sue's priorities and a cause that she supported for many years, not just in fundraising but also physically when travelling to India many years ago to assist in a vaccination programme.

This donation will become a permanent reminder of Sue's "Service Above Self".
