Two nights away staying near Canterbury

A weekend of Fellowship in Canterbury

This year's Fellowship weekend was centred on the City of Canterbury. The accomodation in the Premier Inn was suprisingly suitable for the event, having a bar and a good restaurant for breakfasts meant we could share time together in a relaxed environment.

After pre-dinner drinks in the hotel we set off across Caterbury in a warm evening to the Posillipo Italian Restaurant for a delightful supper and a stroll back through the city, past the floodlight cathedral to the hotel.

The Saturday morning was overcast and a bit chilly as we set off along the River Stour towards Chilham. This turned out to be a very plesant walk, with the river flowing alongside to be replaced by various fishing lakes as we progressed through Chartham and onto Chilham. We enjoyed a Pub lunch in the Woolpack at Chilham before walking up to the vilage, now in glorious sunshine, and then taking the bus back to Canterbury.

Our evening meal was in the Cosy Club in Canterbury, quite a noisy venue, but the staff were great and looked after everyone, even giving us all a glass of bubbly when we arrived.

On Sunday we had our breakfasts in the hotel and went our separate ways after our weekend of fellowship.

Many thanks to the Social Team for setting this event up  and making it all run so smoothly.
