Plans for the Year

Barry Smith (Chair), Graham Robinson

We will continue to support members with speakers for the year. We will look at keeping to a minimum, speakers where donations to their Charities would have to be considered.  The Rotary Club of Bradford’s monthly bulletin is a very useful source for speakers.
If any members hear of speakers who we should approach, please let me know as it is useful to have a database of speakers to fall back on.

As regards Fellowship events, the committee will propose a number of outside visits. Possibilities are-
Drax Power Station
Skipton Castle
Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Jodrell Bank – might be a bit too far
Jet 2 – Leeds/Bradford Airport
Hansons Cement Site at Clitheroe
Locally – Cartwright Hall/Science and Media Museum

Other events that will be considered-
An event at the newly refurbished St Georges Hall
A follow up visit round the Odeon re-development to see the work that has been done, if this is possible.
Worth Valley Railway trip – there is a varied programme of events on the Railway.
Canal Cruise
We would look at continuing with a visit to the Ilkley Playhouse and one of following - the Grand, the Alhambra or Leeds Playhouse.
York Mystery Plays
