About the Walk
The Walk, which has now been running for over 25 years, has caught the imagination of the Wirral public and has been organised and run by the ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH WIRRAL with the help of Sponsors, Family and Friends.
Many charities benefited via the last walk from the 1,000's of walkers, who started from Seacombe and ended up 15 miles later at Thurstaston, in the process raising about £250,000, which was distributed between their favourite charities.
Over the years many thousands have walked and £millions have been raised for all the charities.
The Rotary Club of North Wirral could not run this Walk without the help and support of Members' families; the Rotary Clubs of Royden Revolve and Wallasey; the Inner Wheel Club of North Wirral; and many other outside organisations eg. Scantec, VCA Wirral, Raynet, St Johns Ambulance, Mersey Ferries and Wirral Borough Council; together with the many charities that take part, for which we are extremely grateful.
