The 2011 Shoebox project

Schools and Churches were approached to support the appeal.

Busy Bee and The Islandwide Carpet Company agreed to be a depository in the Ryde area and their cooperation is greatly appreciated.

The response was as fantastic as usual with 657 shoeboxes collected from the two depositories and the following schools and organisations:
Binstead Primary School
Dover Park Primary School
Fiveways School
Haylands Primary School
Oakfield Cof E Primary School
Ryde Academy
St Mary's RC Primary School

The Phoenix Centre

All the boxes from around the Island were delivered to Spithead Business Park for packing, organised this year by Sandown Rotary Club. 2,500 shoe boxes along with clothing will be making way to needy children and families in Moldova. The Rotary Club of Chisinau will be arranging the distribution in Moldova.
