Diamond Jubilee Burns Supper

Greenock Rotary hosted the Diamond Jubilee Burns Supper.


The evening commenced when piper John MacLeod led in the top table.  Chairman Barclay Smith welcomed the attendees and Selkirk Grace was given by President Ken Melville. 

John MacLeod led the Parade of the Haggis before handing over to John Nugent who addressed the haggis.

David Stirling provided musical interludes.

The Immortal Memory was delivered  by Iain White.

Allan Morrison delivered the Toast to the Lasses and his wife Lorna took the opportunity to reply on behalf of the Lasses.     

President Elect Anne Hill gave the Vote of Thanks. 

The evening concluded when David Stirling led the company in a rousing version of

more The Right Reverend Lorna Hood, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland was the speaker at the Christmas Lunch. Entertainment was provided by the Hospice Choir.
