Retford Rotary Club Visit

Mon, Feb 17th 2014 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

SVP Kelvin Henderson and PP Colin Ferguson visited the Rotary Club of Retford at their normal Monday meeting.

We were keen to know how Retford have attracted over 60 members while we are stuck on 28.  Of course Retford are very different to us as they are the only club in the town ( we compete with a couple of other clubs in our area).

We were very warmly received and had a useful exchange of views.  What came across strongly was the importance of attracting and retaining lady members.  We have tried hard in the past, but clearly we need to have a different approach - there were some useful suggestions which we will follow up.
