Alexandria Vincent from USA, a Rotary Global Grant Scholar, spent a year in Scotland


The main guest at Duns Rotary Club's meeting was Alexandria Vincent from the USA, a Rotary Global Grant Scholar who was spending a year in Scotland, studying for a Masters degree in Inclusive and Special Education.
 Alexandria gave a fascinating talk of her involvement in many levels of Rotaty in the USA.  She is sponsored by the Rotary Club of San Antonia, Florida, and is hosted in the UK by Rotary Club of Portobello.
 As part of her time in Scotland, Alexandria has worked as mentor at the RYLA camp at the Abernethy Trust's Outdoor and Adventure Centre at Ardeonaig were she got to know Erin Lauder and Rebecca Lyons who has  been sponsored  by Duns Rotary Club to attended this year's event.  The girls were thrilled to meet up again with Alexandria and to receive their RYLA attendance certificates.
