Alongside these fund raising activities the club continues to meet every week with a guest speaker twice a month. Last week’s talk was by David Fuller-Shapcott, team leader of Borders Water Rescue Team, who gave a fascinating and informative talk on the work of BWRT. Although largely unknown across the community the team play a vital role alongside the emergency services and other specialised rescue teams in providing the Borders with a comprehensive in-water search, rescue and recovery capability. Duns Rotary members thoroughly enjoyed David’s presentation and were pleased to be able to make a contribution to the work of BWRT. (phot0 for this).
