The Rotary Shop

The Rotary Shop is unique among local Charity Shops. We raise funds specifically to assist local groups and charities. Hundreds of thousands of pounds have now been distributed locally.

FROM THE COMMUNITY - The Penzance Rotary Shop draws on the kindness and donated goods of local people.

By supporting our Rotary Shop, you will be helping the wide range of local community causes and 'people in need' that Rotary then supports on your behalf.

TO THE COMMUNITY - The Rotary Shop is not a part of a wider network of shops. We offer your quality items at attractive saleable prices, to discerning bargain hunters and to visitors alike. Your donated items, once re-homed, will gain a new lease of life as opposed to remain hidden away in your cupboards.

Then the best bit ...

FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY - With everyone who works in the Rotary Shop being an unpaid volunteer, it means that profits are maximised. The funds raised from the sale of your quality items are made available for distribution in the form of Rotary Grants. These grants support a wide range of local groups, community projects and initiatives.

The Shop is now in it's tenth year of trading, and since 2020, due to your support, Rotary has been able to award tens of thousands of pounds to local schools, specifically for the relief of hardship amongst young families. Many young families have experienced severe hardship due to the pandemic and the more recent cost of living crisis.

All grants are aimed at benefitting the people of Penzance and the West Penwith area.

Items that you are willing and able to donate, can be dropped off at the shop between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. Monday to Saturday. Collection of larger quatities of items can be arranged. Regrettably we are unable to accept furniture or large electrical items.

Groups and causes wishing to apply for funds from the shop should complete and send in a Grant Application Form. These are available to download here:
