Santa Float

Santa and his Elves

Our Santa Float raised over £3,500 for Charity this year !

Santa Float in December

Christmas is coming !

From the 7th to the 18th of December the Rotary Club of Basingstoke Loddon will be running a Santa Float around the streets of  Basingstoke in the evening from approximately 6.00pm to 8pm.

The float will play Christmas music and have Santa walking behind. Elves will knock on doors, asking for donations to local charities, and if a young child is brought to the door the Elf will call Santa over to come and talk to them. The children often get very excited about Santa coming to visit them at their own house.

This year’s schedule is:

7-8th in Oakley

9-10th in Lychpit

11th and 14-15th in Chineham

16th in Winklebury

17th in Brighton Hill

18th in Brookvale

We cannot guarantee which streets we will visit as this depends on weather conditions and the number of volunteers we have as Elves each night. However if you visit our website, on the night before, there may be more up to date information.

Every year we raise a significant amount for Charity from this event and all involved have an enjoyable time as we build up the excitement in young children looking forward to Christmas.

Money raised will be donated to various charities supported by Rotary including Ark Cancer Treatment Centre, Homestart (NW Hampshire), Noaomi House & Jacks Place, International Hope & Homes for Children & St Michael’s Hospice.
