On Saturday we presented a cheque for £3000 to Trinity Hospice.

Trinity Hospice Benefits from Rotary Donation

After a group of cyclists from Kirkham Rotary Club got off their bikes, they went along to the Trinity Shop at Kirkham to relax and hand-over the results of a hard 4-day coast to coast ride in the shape of a cheque for £3,000.

The team of 6 riders, supported by their 3-man back-up team, had pedalled 150 miles from Tynemouth to Grange-over-Sands, mostly against the wind, having already decided that The Hospice in the Fylde was to be the beneficiary of their efforts. The oldest member of the team, Past President Raymond Green said: “This was our eighteenth annual sponsored cycle ride and I want to thank all those who support us year after year. We get on our bikes for good causes but get immense fun from it at the same time.  We are lucky that younger members have joined in recent years.”

The team are now thinking about the next ride but want it to be down-hill from north to south.
