PCC Paddy Tipping

At the Rotary Club meeting on Monday 7 March the speaker was Paddy Tipping, Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner.  Paddy explained that his job was to improve the way that the bodies concerned with policing and crime worked together.  One aspect which needs improving and which he is now attending to is to make sure that the police, the Director of Public Prosecutions and the courts all work from the same database.  At present they do not, which makes all procedures extremely slow.  Questions were asked about this and one of the Rotarians who is a JP agreed with what needed to be done.  Paddy Tipping provided many other examples of his aims to improve procedures
