Our club was formed in 1937 and has a modern and progressive membership of pro-active individuals who work together for the good of others through numerous initiatives and fund raising projects. This takes the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" to a level that really makes a difference.

We support a wide range of projects within our local community, as well as International Projects such as Disaster Aid and End Polio Now.

Since COVID we have changed our meetings schedules and we are holding face to face meetings again.

Our monthly schedule of meetings is as follows:

1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of the month: 12.30pm at Haydock Park Golf Club. Lunch + speaker on 1st and 3rd weeks. On the second Tuesday we just have a social lunch.

2nd Tuesday is also for committee meetings and these will be held either at a venue and time to suit the committees or by zoom.

4th Tuesday of the month:  Business meeting at Jaydees, Sumner Street, Haydock. Buffet at 6.45pm followed by a 7.15pm start. Committee chairs will report back to club and proposals will be voted on.

Where there is a 5th Tuesday in the month a social event or other activity will be organised.

We enjoy fellowship together, listen to inspiring speakers, plan activities and keep up-to-date with our community and projects. We also meet for various other Social, Fund Raising and Community Service events. These will be listed in our events calendar. All our meetings can be found on the meeting and events page of this website.

Rotary is a Dual Gender organisation.

If you would like to attend one of our meetings or social events or wish to find out more about what we do, please use either the “Contact” facility at the bottom of this page, e mail membership.nlewrotary@gmail.com    or use the links on this website to find more general information about the world-wide Rotary organisation.

We also hold other events in the community.

Criteria for Attendance:

Each month attend at least a lunch/evening meeting, or function of the club, and join and attend a Club Service committee meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. New members will join one of our committees: community, young people or international. Details are on our "what we do" pages.
