Altrincham Probus Club

The Probus Club of Altrincham normally meets on alternate Friday mornings at 10.00 am for coffee and biscuits at St Mary's Parish Centre, Firs, Bowdon. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions our meetings are currently postponed.

2021-22 Chairman Hamish Rankin

Due to COVID-19 our reglar schedule of meetings and activities is suspended.

What is shown below is how we normally meet, etc.

We sincerely hope that 'normal service' will soon return.

At 10.30 am there is a talk by an invited speaker. This normally lasts about an hour after which there is time for questions.

Speakers come from all walks of life and talk on a wide variety of topics. Our scheduled meetings and their topics can be viewed on the Programme page.

We have a walking group that meets on the last Thursday each month for a trek of around 6 miles, and a golfing section that organises matches against other clubs, internal competitions and occasional days away playing golf.

In addition, we make visits to places of interest as well as three celebratory luncheons. Partners are invited to many of the foregoing.

When attending meetings, members have the opportunity to make voluntary contributions to the Club's Charity Fund from which donations are made to local and national charities.

If you are a retired gentleman with a Friday morning to spare, you will be most welcome to come and join us. You will find where we meet on this map. The Jubilee Centre is to the right of the Cinnamon Club and if you need the post code for your navigation system it is: WA14 2TQ. There is free car parking in front of The Jubilee Centre.
