Special General Meeting

Minutes of Special General Meeting 2016/17 held Tuesday 6 Dec 2016 @ 1330:

Rtn Cyril Stubbings Pointed out that the agenda should refer to the next Rotary Year 2017/18, not 2016/17 as circulated.

1. Confirmation of President (Rtn Paul TINKER) and President-Elect (Rtn Ken JOHNSON) for 2017/18 

- approved unanimously.

2. Election of Vice-President 2017/18: Rtn Adrian WOOD, 

- proposed by Rtn Dennis ROBERTS, seconded by Rtn John HARDY; approved unanimously

3 Election of Hon Treasurer 2017/18 Rtn John HARDY

- proposed by Rtn Ken JOHNSON; seconded by Rtn Adrian WOOD; approved unanimously

4 Election of Hon Secretary 2017/18: Rtn Dennis ROBERTS

- proposed Rtn Bill MUTCH; seconded Rtn Terry ELLIS; approved unanimously

5 Treasurer's Report

Formal Accounts will be presented at next Council Meeting in January. 

Rtn John HARDY confirmed a 10% increase in catering charges from the Community Centre to £456 p.a.. He proposed that each member pays an additional £20 by cheque or cash to cover the extra costs for the current year to 30/6/17, and thereafter increase monthly standing orders to £41 per month from 1/7/17 (or £102 per quarter). This proposal was approved unanimously.

6. Nomination of Voting Delegates to Rotary GB&I Conference;

It was agreed that the Secretary (Rtn dennis ROBERTS) and Deputy Secretary (Rtn Neville OUGHTIBRIDGE) would continue to undertake this duty.

There being no other business, the meeting was closed at 1345.
