100 Acts of Good
To celebrate the centenary of the Rotary Foundation, the members of the Rotary Club of Warrington have set themselves the challenge to carry out 100 Acts of Good before the end of the Rotary year, 1st July 2017.

1. 660 Rotary shoeboxes destined for Romania were packed in our community
2. Volunteered at the Rotary Shoebox distribution centre in Preston
3. Crocuses were planted in aid of End Polio Now at the local school
4. Petty Pool short break clients planted crocuses at their centre with one of our Associate Members
5. Collcted second hand spectacles and delivered for charity
6. Volunteering for two days at the Bolton Steam Museum between Christmas and New Year
7. Volunteering at the local church for the charity Warrington Open Door at Christmas Charity
8. Leafleted the neighbourhood for a Christmas tree collection for the local hospice
9. Rotarian dressed as Santa for local school children.
10.Volunteer ranger duties at local national park
11. One week volunteer duties at local outward bound centre
12. Delivery of snacks, drinks, sandwiches to hospitals
13. Packaged 14,000 meals for school children in Zimbabwe
14. Hospital visits to the elderly
15. Volunteered at several beer festivals to raise monies for local charities
16. Campaigned for the restoration of the Warrington Transporter Bridge
17. Organised a race night fundraiser for Marie Curie
18. Collection of shoeboxes from Scotland
19. Inflated 500 balloons for Healthy in St Helens
20. Visit and feeding school children in Kibera, Kenya
21. Volunteered at "Healthy in St Helens" community project
22. Collected books for the local hospice
23. Marshalling at midnight Starlight Walk
24. Collected Tip Tree jam for distribution
25. Supported the local Mayor's Ball
26. Restoration of Rotary Wishing Well
27. Walk around Crick to raise funds for Rotary Foundation
28. Garden restoration in local school
29. Promotion of Rise against Hunger at Rotary Conference in Manchester
30. Organised a fund raising Curry Evening in support of international charities
31. Volunteer driving for visually impaired people
32. Brought together a number of small local charities in a Community Fund Event
33. Sampled a selection of Prosecco to ensure the public were satisfied at Oktoberfest Beer Festival
34. Cleaned up tents and salvage after Creamfields Concert Weekend
35. Donated Blood
36. Marshalled the carpark at Warrington Disability Day
37. Transported a suitcase of pencils and other stationary items to Kenya
38. Slept rough for one night to raise awareness of the homeless
39. Bag packed at the local supermarket to raise funds for the Stop Hunger Now.
40. Promoted Warrington Rotary Club on local radio
41. Served hundreds of pints of real ale to raise funds for local and international charities
