The visit was arranged by our Club for those pupils with a special interest in engineering.
12 pupils with their teacher,Mr Matthewson, spent a few hours on site being shown the work currently being undertaken on 3 craft, one of which was subsequently launched.
'It was an inspirational experience for those with an interest in science or engineeering and arranged as a follow up to our Technology Tournament.' said Rotary president,Mike Stones.
The Club wanted to encourage pupils and promote the value of the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths) which are so important in terms of future careers.
Our special thanks go to Jim Morrison and Parkol for allowing the visit to happen.
The pupils clearly benefited from the visit and one ,Finlay Jackson, was heard to say 'it's simply amazing'.
