A Fond Farewell

Rotarians bid farewell to a valued member

At the meeting on Tuesday 14th October members of Chard Club wished a fond farewll to Rotarian John Sully, and his wife Sheila, as they prepared to leave our shores for the warmer climes of South Australia.

John, who has been a member of the Club for over 40 years, and Sheila are emigrating to be closer to their family who have lived inAustralia for many years. The move will mean an end to the 6 monthly transfer between the 2 countries that the couple have endured for a number of years.

John was pleased to accept lifetime Honorary membership of the the Chard club and also received an engraved tankard from the Club. Sheila was presented with an engraved goblet.

The evening finished with members of the Club serenading John and Sheila with a ditty written by Rotarian Dick Arnold.
