Rayleigh Mill members donate £2700 to various charites

The members of the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill were each asked to nominate a charity for the club to donate £100 in their name from the funds raised by the club. As a result, a total of £2,700 has been donated among 20 charities. See details below.

The 27 members of The Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill were each asked to nominate a charity to which they would like the club to donate £100 in their name from the monies that the club has raised from the events it holds throughout the year, such as The Rayleigh 10k run and Charity Golf Tournament. Between them, the members have chosen 20 charities (some members picked the same ones) to receive this money, which are:-

Cruse Bereavement Care
Sheffield Children's Hospital
Trust Links
Salvation Army
Hope and Homes for Children
Southend Mencap (MMP)
Alzheimer's Society
Amy May Trust
Camp Jo-Jo
Essex and Herts Air Ambulance
Rayleigh Town Museum
Guide Dogs for the Blind
Parkinsons Society
Great Ormond Street Hospital
BEARS Essex
Cancer Research
Friends of Holy Trinity Rayleigh
British Heart Foundation
Danny Green Fund
Prostate Cancer

Accordingly, a total of £2,700 will be shared among these charities. This is the second time in recent years that the club has made these £100 donations and we hope to be able to continue this in future years.
