The Rotary Club of Llandudno and the Stroke Association recently teamed up as part of a national initiative to help raise awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure.
Dr Ashok Harshey - with helpers Madhu, Suzi and Gill - took the blood pressure between them of more than 80 passers-by in Mostyn Street, Llandudno the other Saturday (14th April) . Fortunately most could be reassured that their blood pressure levels were at an acceptable level, but some were advised to see their GP
As the Stroke Association points out:
“Every five minutes stroke strikes in the UK, but with events like these, we hope to change this. A blood pressure test is quick and painless, and it could save your life.”
