Using proceeds raised from their highly successful Folk Night and their widely supported Film Night President Peter Oliver of the Rotary Club of Hexham was delighted to present ShelterBox with £1774 in support of their work on 25 June 2018.

ShelterBox is a non-profit organization which works closely with Rotary and provides emergency shelter and tools for families around the world, who have been robbed of their homes by natural disaster or conflict. The large, sturdy green box contains a family sized tent specifically designed to withstand the elements together with essential life saving equipment. The organization is working in several countries and their most recent intervention has been to help families displaced from their homes by the volcanic eruption in Guatemala.
