COFFEE IN THE PARK

Wed, Oct 3rd 2018 at 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

The final coffee morning of this year.
Proceeds in aid of THE BRITISH LUNG FOUNDATION

This event was succesfully held on Oct 3 in Mesnes Park.

Joyce Hall has posted the following note for the All Saints Parish Magazine:

Many thanks to the people from All Saints who supported our fund-raiser for the British Lung Foundation. Ann Dale, it looks as if you could have done with their help! Get well soon.

We raised £100 for our cause and now there will be a short breather (if you'll pardon the pun!) before our next event which is Sherry and Mince Pies in the Park on Wednesday 5th December.
We do not designate a charity for this day, but find that some people like to make a donation anyway. Usually any monies given goes to the Salvation Army.

The six events run this year have raised the following amounts to charity

April  Smokey Paws   £76.00
May   The Cinnamon Trust   £100. They wrote back to tell us exactly what they were using the money for!
June: no event due to illness
July   Remember my Baby   £105.00
August  Many Tears Animal Rescue  £110.00
September Macmillan Cancer Support  £147.72
October   British Lung Foundation   £100.00

The Rotary Club congratulates Joyce and the team from All saints for the work they are doing (and of course the delicious cakes!)
