Our President Elect, Peter Renshaw recently announced his intention to stage another Remembrance event in the autumn of 2021 recognising the success of concerts held in previous years. This annual Choral Concert will once again be led and managed by Rotarian Ian Ramus with the help of other Rotary members, friends and families.

Our last concert, held on the eve of the Armistice which signalled the end of WW1 was a great success. Performances featured the spectacular Taunton Military Wives, West Somerset Brass Band, The Taunton Rotary Choir and young talented musicians and singers from Somerset. Our next concert will celebrate the 100th anniversay in 2021 of the Royal British Legion who toil to ensure that all servicemen and their families are supported.

We hope that at this time, the Rotary Club of Taunton's very own choir will once again perform publicly the Rotary Anthem written by Club member, Rotarian Nigel Moyle.

Young people from the uniformed cadets are expected to take part and the Club is currently securing a full list of participants to match the outstanding performances of previous musicians and singers. Those attending should also expect to join in the singing.

The event is likely to be held at the Temple Methodist Church.

Our last concert raised over £3,500 in aid of the Royal British Legion and the Musgrove Park Hospital's League of Friends. The Rotary Club of Taunton thanks all those who participated and supported the concert with their time and genrous donations. Hopefully we will be able to raise funds again which will go to meeting needs in our community.

Watch out for up-dates about the concert planned for 2021.
