Basingstoke Festival of Transport 14 May 2023

Sun, May 14th 2023 at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

A great day out for all the family, whether you're a keen motor buff or you just want an interesting and enjoyable Sunday.

Basingstoke Deane Rotary
are once again organising the
Basingstoke Festival of Transport
on 14 May 2023
We were so lucky with the weather at last May’s Festival of Transport and wish to thank all that came along and especially those exhibiting their wonderful vehicles, without which we would not have a show.  Basingstoke Deane Rotary are now organising the 2023 Festival which will be held on 14 May 2023 in the War Memorial Park, Basingstoke, RG21 4AG. We hope to see you there!

A great variety of around 800 vehicles filling the park will mean another fabulous day with something for everyone. We look forward to seeing both exhibitors and visitors for what we hope will be another wonderful family day out and one the highlights of the year in Basingstoke. This event remains free of charge for both for exhibitors and visitors. Parking is available for visitors (those not exhibiting) for a small fee at Old Common, London Road (use RG21 4BY).

As in previous years, there will be a huge range of vehicles on static display, including classic and vintage cars, lorries, buses, fire engines and military trucks. There will also be a variety of specialist car clubs, trade stalls and catering outlets.
For regular updates on the 2023 Festival, please look back at this page.  We will endeavour to update this page regularly as well as our Facebook page frequently.

Latest Updates

For those that provided us with feedback on the 2022 Festival, thank you very much.  We have read and noted all the responses and are working towards improving as much as we can but please note, not everything is under our control.

The vehicle classifications used in 2022 will be continued in 2023.  We are aware that cutting off the Post War vehicles at 1990 will again disappoint some, however we feel that most of the public come to see the older vehicles. Just let us know if that is not the case.

In January 2023 we will invite vehicle owners, stall holders and car clubs that are on our databases to apply for entry to the Festival.  Note, if you are not on the database, you will not be sent an invitation and could lose out on a place. We are a popular show and are usually over-subscribed quite early for most categories and even trade stands.

If we don’t already have your details and you would like to be added to the databases in advance of the sending of invitations, please email your details and details of your vehicle, stall, or car club to Our Terms and Conditions of Entry are given below and should be read before you provide us with your information.
