Big Band Night a Brilliant success!

A really great night with the Sid Bolan Band!

A great crowd came to see the Sid Bolan Big Band playing at the Wickford Community Centre, entertaining with the music of Glenn Miller and his contemporaries, through Bond movie thems and more contemporary pieces given the big band treatment.

Wickford Rotary laid on the event to raise for Rotary Charities, but more to the point to give the people of Wickford a great evening out.

The truly Big 18-piece band was complemented by the fantastic voice of Ruby Robinson, who thrilled with her renditions.

A great evening was had by all and some funds raised as well. Thanks to all who supported us; looking forward to next year!

more Music amplifies everything it touches. It can turn a field into a festival, a bar into a dancefloor and a job into a passion. So it’s important that we stand up for music by protecting those that make it.
