Charity Golf Day held on 19 July 2019
Despite the apalling weather on the day the sum of approximately £6,000 has been raised for the charities being supported. The exact sum raised will not be known until all sponsorship money has been received.
Charity Bookstall and Handbag Stall held on 20 July 2019
Thank you to all our Bookstall customers who helped us to raise £370 for charitable and local community causes.
Thank you also to all those who visited our Charity Handbag stall which raised £215 for our Child Assist Fund.
Cash Collection for Nailsea Charity Walks & Runs 2019 (which will be held on 9 June 2019)
at the North Somerset Show on 6 May 2019 -
Thank you to all those
who donated to our bucket collection of £886.09 which will included in
the fund to be distributed to the participating charities and local
community organisations after the event.
Handbag Stall on 20 April 2019 -
Thank you to everyone who
visited our Charity Handbag stall on Saturday 20 April in Nailsea Town
Centre. Sales raised £221.90 for our Child Assist fund.
Bookstall on 6 April 2019 -
Thank you to everyone who visited
our Charity Bookstall. Sales and the bucket collection raised £361.58
which, together with £500 from our emergencies fund has gone to the East
African IDAI Cyclone Emengency Appeal.
Lions Brass 4 Youth concert on 29 March 2019 -
Thank you to the 156 people who came to the concert at Nailsea
School. The total raised was £1,190 of which the bands share is £600
towards the cost of their instruments for their 4 bands for young
people. The balance of £590 has been retained in our Trust Fund for use
in financing our activities for the local community (especially in
schools) and maintaining a reasonable balance for emergencies in order
that our Emergencies Standing Committee always have the wherewithall to
react immediately in the event of local / national / international
situations as they may arise.
