President Lyndsey and Vice President Shagun teaching in a School for Disadvantaged Girls in India

St Andrews first year students Shagun and Lyndsey were taken out of their comfort zone but rewarded with smiling faces of the girls they taught.

They used many different methods to give the girls confidence to move on from their poor and sometimes troubled backgrounds.

Shagun from Hyderabad, spoke Hindi so could easily communicate with the girls, yet teach them to improve their basic English.

Lyndsey from Invergordon, learned a few basic Hindi words but communicated through her music and artistic skills.

Past St Andrews Rotaract President Keertna, whose Rotarian grandfather supported the opening of the school, visited these 2 latest students from St Andrews
